1. Filled-in prescribed Application Form. 2. Prescribed Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued on or after the specified date by the Authorized Doctor/ Medical Institution. 3. Four passport-sized photographs (three for Yatra Permits and one for the Application form) .

Registering for the Yatra is not permitted for anyone under 13 years of age or above 75 years of age, or for any woman over six weeks pregnant.

Pahalgam is the most traditional and preferred route. Although, it generally takes 3-5 days as opposed to the Baltal route, which is the shorter route to reach Holy Cave. Baltal takes 1-2 days to arrive at Shri Amarnath Ji. So, considering the age and health condition of devotees, one should decide on the route.
